Door 2 Artists Contemplate Beauty
Door 2 is a multi-faceted working art studio in Hudson Ohio. We have been offering a creative environment to the public for 16 years. At Door 2 we believe that art and beauty can be used to inspire and inform many areas of contemporary culture. The visual image can transcend barriers and be a vehicle for fostering hope and building community.
Adriana Caso
Adriana Caso holds a B.F.A degree in Painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art and a dual M.F.A in Painting & Sculpture from Florence Italy. She is a working artist and is the Director and Founder of Door 2 Art Studio. Adriana loves to engage the community with hope and kindness through art. She believes there is power in beauty to speak into difficult issues as well as illicit joy. She enjoys creating art that is full of surprises, inviting participation and resulting in delight! Adriana loves to inspire and connect people through visual language.
Michael Davis Seng
Michael Seng is a working artist in Hudson Ohio and the Associate Director of Door 2 art Studio. Michael’s art focuses on ponderous observation of the world around him. This results in outpourings of expression that focus on the wonder in what is, reflection on what has been and hope of what things could become.
Sara Hughes
Sara Hughes is a working artist in Akron Ohio. She has a degree in Art Studio from the University of Akron. Her artwork centers around beauty in creation and environmental issues.
Karen Koch
Karen Koch relies on her love of nature and memories of days gone by for inspiration for her art. Her art often explores the idea that being grounded in our past provides a foundation as we grow toward our future. She works mostly in collage, because of the hands-on joy in the process, and for the ability to include repurposed and meaningful materials.
Daniel Hughes
Daniel Hughes is an art educator working in a middle school in Akron, Ohio. He has a degree in Art Education from the University of Akron. His artwork focuses on nature and bringing out the beauty that can be found all around us.
Michele Moncrief
Michele Moncrief is an artist from Hudson, OH. She enjoys working with a variety of medium from acrylics to woodwork. Her art is inspired mostly by nature.
Meaghan Reed
Meaghan M Reed is a working artist in Hudson, Ohio. She earned her B.A. and M.F.A in Studio Arts at Kent State University. She is passionate about creating impressionistic work that captures the beauty and complexity of design found in the natural world.
