Expressions of Hope
Peg's Gallery
August 18, 2018 — October 30, 2018
Motivating Optimistic Caring Accepting (MOCA) House is located in Wooster, Ohio. The program is dedicated to reducing the isolation of people with mental illness. Through peer support, educational services, social and recreational activities, advocacy and community involvement, people are encouraged, challenged and develop hope for recovery.
Art is something that is created with imagination and skill, that is beautiful, OR that expresses ideas or feelings.
Art promotes and enables the recovery journey for persons dealing with mental health and addiction issues.
In the MOCA House art room, no one needs previous experience or training. It is not about the final creation; it’s about EXPRESSIONS AND TRANSFORMATION.
MOCA art is about RELATIONSHIP, CREATING, SHARING, LEARNING and SUPPORTING EACH OTHER IN RECOVERY.
