From the 1960s to early 2000s, a remarkable group of women artists in Hudson, Ohio quietly shaped the town’s cultural identity through painting, sculpture, assembage, needlework, and historic decoration. Though not a formal collective, these artists inspired one another through friendship and proximity, living and working in Hudson’s central village. As Hudson grew from rural town to vibrant city, their art brought beauty and meaning to its transformation—earning national recognition and challenging the norms of their time. Drawn Together: Women Artists of Hudson honors their legacy and invites a new generation to be inspired by their creativity and community spirit.
