Beth Lindenberger is a studio artist who primarily works in clay. Her sculptural ceramic work is based on cells, microscopic organisms and natural objects, and her interest lies in the complex relationships between them, both visually and metaphorically. Her work has been exhibited locally and nationally. As adjunct faculty, she’s taught Ceramics, 3-D and 2-D Design at various colleges and universities, as well as community art institutions. She has also worked at galleries and curated various exhibitions.
Beth has a BFA in Ceramics from the University of Akron. She is a member of the National Council for Education of Ceramic Arts, and Ohio Designer Craftsmen, and was previously on the Board of Trustees at Cuyahoga Valley Art Center. She has worked as an artist in residence in public schools, having won awards for student projects. As Artist in Residence for UA’s ARTSLIFT program, Beth built a public sculpture working with students at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, based on stone circles.

Artist Richard Vaux grew up on Long Island, attending Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, New York.  After graduating from Miami University (OH) with a BFA in 1963, he returned to Long Island and established a studio in Hempstead, New York.

His first exhibition was in 1964, a group show at The Heckscher Museum of Art. Through this exposure and recognition Vaux was invited to exhibit one of his major paintings at the 1964 World’s Fair (New York State Pavilion). Since 1964, he has presented exhibitions of his art throughout the U.S.A., Canada, Europe, The Far East, Australia, and South America. After teaching one course in Figure Drawing and Anatomy at Adelphi University during the Spring semester, 1965, Vaux was drafted and served in the U.S. Army, stationed with the 3rd Infantry Division Headquarters Company in Wurzburg, Germany (1965-1967).

In 1967, Vaux began two years of Graduate study at Northern Illinois University (MFA). He returned to Long Island in 1969, where he lived and worked. His studios were located at Lloyd Neck, New York from 1983 to 2015. Richard is Professor Emeritus at Adelphi University where he taught painting and drawing and served as Director of Exhibitions since 1969. In October 2015 the Vaux Studio Complex was moved from New York to the Western Reserve area of Northeast Ohio (Hudson, Summit County).
