Rhythm & Renewal: A Winter Solstice Celebration
Embrace the winter season with us as we gather in community for an evening of fire, music, movement, and art!
Open and free to the public, *registration is only required for the gentle yoga session. Read on for full agenda.
About the Event
Celebrate the Winter Solstice—the longest night of the year and a turning point when light begins its slow return—with a multi-sensory evening across Peg’s campus.
The Summit FM’s Music + Wellness program presents, in partnership with Peg’s Foundation & Gallery and the Northeast Ohio Healing Arts Alliance (NEOHAA), Rhythm & Renewal: A Winter Solstice Celebration, a gathering shaped by creative arts and seasonal celebration. Peg’s Gallery will be open all day until 7PM, you are welcome to explore the indoor and outdoor experiences at leisure.
Evening Highlights
Our celebration kicks off outdoors where a community drum circle gathers around the warm glow of artist Megan Shane’s newly installed fire sculpture.
Follow the flicker of firelight indoors, where Lydia Joy’s crystal singing bowls and lovely vocals invite you to wander Peg’s Gallery or craft handmade ornaments that honor the season.
A gentle yoga session led by Melissa Ferrato of Main St. Yoga will also be offered next door to the gallery in the historic Baldwin-Buss-Merino House (*Registration required, space limited, please bring your own mat).
Plan Your Visit
Dress in layers as you drift between the crisp winter air and the gentle warmth of indoor offerings. This event is free and open to the public thanks to the Summit County ADM Board and Peg’s Foundation & Gallery.
Light refreshments will be provided in the gallery. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the many restaurants in Hudson’s walkable business district for dinner. Parking is free and available on the city streets near the gallery.
