Mirror Magic Workshop with Sherry Simms

Step into the magic of making!

Artist Sherry Simms will guide participants in creating reflective art using mirrors and mixed materials. This hands-on workshop invites experimentation with composition, texture, and form while crafting a unique piece to take home.

Sherry Simms, Associate Professor and Metalsmithing & Jewelry Coordinator at The University of Akron, is a mixed media artist whose work challenges traditional notions of craft, jewelry, and ornamentation. Her work is currently on view in Illuminated Fundamentals at Peg’s Gallery through May 2nd and has been widely exhibited and recognized with awards including the Knight Art Challenge Grant, three Ohio Arts Council Fellowships, a University of Akron Summer Research Fellowship, and a Jentel Foundation Residency.
