Crafted Colors: Resourceful Dyeing Workshop

August 30 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

✨ Crafted Colors: Resourceful Dyeing Workshop ✨
A workshop with Fashion Student Julian Weber

Discover the art of sustainable fabric dyeing using everyday grocery items and scavenged materials!

Join us for Crafted Colors, a hands-on workshop where Julian shares creative and eco-conscious techniques for making fabric dyes at home. From teas and spices to homemade iron mordants, participants will learn how to transform simple materials into vibrant color.

Julian first fell in love with fashion design through painting and dyeing garments. Now a KSU fashion student, he’s exploring innovative, accessible ways to reinvent textile design sustainably.

🧑‍🎨 What you’ll do:
-Learn how to create beautiful fabric dyes from items like tea, turmeric, and rust
-Make your own fabric mordant with vinegar and found objects
-Gain insight into sustainable fashion practices you can try at home

Whether you’re a designer, DIY enthusiast, or just curious, this workshop offers an inspiring look at color, creativity, and sustainability.
